CLARE TO UNDERGO FACIAL OP

CHARLTON defender Sean Clare is confident of being ready for next season after confirming he was to have an operation to remove his facial birthmark.
The 25-year-old has played 43 games in all competitions for the Addicks this season, but has had to end his campaign early.
“Due to health precautions, that’s my season done a little early,” Clare said.
“I’ve been advised by medical specialists to have my facial birthmark removed as it poses a risk of becoming melanomic.
“Having the op allows me to avoid a potentially serious health risk.”
