RUTHLESS LATICS ON CHARGE

WIGAN strengthened their grip on second place with victory against ailing Crewe – who slipped to the bottom of the table.
Callum Lang headed the Latics into the lead on 57 minutes from James McClean’s cross before the latter cracked home the second with eight minutes to go.
The win left Wigan six points behind leaders Rotherham with two games in hand and five points ahead of thirdplaced MK Dons with three games in hand.
