STRUGGLING Crewe Alexandra have made a quartet of signings as they bid to fight their way out of the League One relegation zone.
On Thursday, Alex completed the signing of Fortuna Sittard forward Bassala Sambou on an 18-month contract.
The 24-year-old German was the club’s first signing of the January window, but they quickly followed it up with a trio of signings the following day.
Chelsea midfielder Tariq Uwakwe arrived on an 18-month deal. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.
