PORTSMOUTH boss Danny Cowley has told Rochdale they are getting an “intelligent defender” and “excellent professional” in Paul Downing.
The 30-year-old centre-back has joined Dale on loan for the rest of the season.
Cowley said: “Paul picked up a few injuries and couldn’t find his way into the side, but he’s an intelligent defender and a great human being.”
