GETHIN’S ABSENCE HITS EVATT

BOLTON boss Ian Evatt is disappointed by the likely long-term absence of defender Gethin Jones.
Jones has a stress fracture to a fibula and, ahead of the weekend, only Morecambe had conceded more goals than Bolton’s 23 and Evatt bemoaned the loss of a key defender.
Evatt said: “We sent him to see a specialist and if the prognosis is right it will be January before we see him again.
“We’re hoping for the best, but at the moment it looks like January.”
