CREWE midfielder Callum Ainley could be out for two months with a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old suffered the problem during the Alex’s draw with Rotherham last weekend.
Ainley suffered a similar problem in November but this latest setback is not thought to be as serious.
Artell said: “Callum is going to be out for between one to two months. It depends on his recovery, but it is not as bad as last season.
“It is disappointing for him and for us.”
