IDRIS El Mizouni’s season is over after he suffered medial ligament damage while on loan at Cambridge.
The midfielder, 19, who scored one goal in seven games for the U’s, was recalled by his parent club Ipswich after suffering the problem against Carlisle last week.
El Mizouni, who is expected to be fit for pre-season, tweeted: “I want to thank all the players, staff and fans @cambridgeunitedfc for my short time at the club.
