PETERBOROUGH boss Darren Ferguson was left feeling a mixture of both disappointment and optimism at the end of the campaign. His side were foiled in their bid to snatch a play-off place despite signing off with victory against Burton Albion.
Posh were reliant on his former club, Doncaster, slipping up to sneak into the top six, but Rovers – bossed by ex-Posh man Grant McCann – took care of business against Coventry.
