First game you watched live?
Growing up in Australia, there weren’t many soccer matches – it was more cricket, rugby league and Aussie rules.
I came over to England for a trial at West Ham when I was 15 and the first game I went to was West Ham against Manchester United at Upton Park in 2002. It was an unbelievable experience – Man United won 5-3.
There was a young Jermain Defoe playing, Paulo Di Canio was in their team, and so were Michael Carrick and Joe Cole....
