JOAN Luque has finally achieved his dream of becoming a professional footballer after signing a six-month deal at Lincoln.
The attacking midfielder scored 30 goals and provided 18 assists for Heybridge Swifts last season, leading to a trial with the Imps.
Luque said: “I’ve sacrificed many things to become a professional, like being away from family and my ex-girlfriend.
“Having to sacrifice a lot makes it sweeter now that I’ve achieved it.”
Lincoln also secured the signing of experienced defender Jason Shackell.
