Target hit for Lovell but Gills still nervy

GILLINGHAM manager Steve Lovell won’t rest easy until his side are mathematically safe, despite reaching the heralded 50-point mark after a lacklustre draw against Doncaster Rovers.
The Gills ended a run of three consecutive defeats with this point but Lovell has challenged his players not to switch off before the season’s end.
He said: “We’ve got to 50 points – it’s been a while coming in the last few games. Fifty points was our aim when we took over but we’ve got six more games to go and we want to finish on a high.
