Pitman a man for all four seasons…

PORTSMOUTH defied the elements with Brett Pitman’s double to record a victory that gets their play-off hopes firmly back on track. The game was halted for eight minutes in the second half as hail and snow battered Boundary Park, but the visitors comfortably hung on once play resumed with half-anhour still to play.
Only Pompey’s second win in six games, it lifted them to within four points of the top six.
