Lovell’s changes turn tide for Gills

GILLINGHAM recovered from a first-half mauling to inflict Portsmouth’s fourth defeat in five games with the help of a double strike from Lee Martin.
With seven members of his squad absent though through injury or suspension, including top scorer Brett Pitman, Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett was forced to shuffle his remaining resources.
His team took an early lead but Jackett was left to reflect on a game that turned on its head after the break.
