Sheridan: Penalty calls were ‘shocking’

JOHN Sheridan was left incensed at referee Darren Handley as Fleetwood were denied two penalties, while Plymouth boss Derek Adams lashed out at Sheridan himself.
Paddy Madden’s second-half goal secured Fleetwood a point against Sheridan’s old club, after Moses Makasi had initially put Derek Adams’ Pilgrims ahead.
However, turning points came in the second half, when referee Handley waved away penalty appeals for handballs by Yann Songo’o and Aaron Taylor-Fletcher.
