Debut duo push Phil towards the brink

EMBATTLED Phil Brown insists he is not fearing for his future – despite admitting he is “letting his players down” after a pair of Fleetwood debutants inflicted another defeat on Southend.
Toumani Diagouraga and Paddy Madden netted in their maiden tour of duty as the Cod Army notched a fifth win in succession on the road and moved up to 11th in the table.
The loss was the Shrimpers’ eighth in nine games and saw them slip to 18th place, just two points above the drop zone.
