Unsung John’s all White for Shrimpers

HE has a team full of former Premier League stars – but Phil Brown was quick to highlight one of his lesser-known men after claiming just a second away win of the season.
The likes of Simon Cox – who bagged the winner here – Nile Ranger, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Anton Ferdinand and Michael Kightly often hog the headlines for the Shrimpers.
But defender John White, signed from Colchester four years ago, was head and shoulders above them all in this narrow victory.
