SADDLERS SAY ‘NO’ TO CRAIG

WALSALL boss Jon Whitney admits he simply didn’t see Craig MacGillivray as No.1 material after releasing the goalkeeper.
MacGillivray, 24, started the final five games of the campaign – keeping one clean sheet – but that wasn’t enough to earn him a new Saddlers contract “At this stage of his career, Craig needs to be playing regularly,” said Whitney.
“We couldn’t guarantee him that.”
Also leaving Walsall are midfielders Franck Moussa, 27, and Isaiah Osbourne,29, as well as 20- year-old defender Theo Vassell.
