STOKE City head into their clash with Sunderland managerless after opting to sack boss Narcis Pelach citing the Catalan was “not the right fit” for the club.
Defeat to Leeds United was the final straw for the hierarchy, with the loss leaving them in 19th place – three points outside the relegation zone – having now gone nine games without victory.
Leeds took control after Lewis Koumas was denied as the Potters struggled to impose themselves on the match.
