Chris Wilder felt victory over QPR was Sheffield United’s ideal response to losing to promotion rivals Leeds United – and said his players had lifted his spirits after a difficult week.
The Blades cinched a fifth consecutive away win to close the gap on Championship leaders Leeds to three points, five days after losing at home to them.
Leeds’ five-match winning run ended earlier on the day when they drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion.
And the Blades took advantage.
