MICHAEL Carrick praised his Middlesbrough players for rising to the challenge as they bounced back from a midweek defeat to Blackburn with a commanding performance in a 3-1 win over Hull City.
The victory cemented their position as the Championship’s top scorers, with their fourth win in five games.
“Today was a tough game and we expected it to be that way," he said.
"The type of team they are, the quality they’ve got, and the way they play.”
