Coventry City boss Frank Lampard praised Ellis Simms after the striker’s stoppage-time goal sealed all three points against Sheffield Wednesday.

Coventry City boss Frank Lampard praised Ellis Simms after the striker’s stoppage-time goal sealed all three points against Sheffield Wednesday.
The 24-year-old pounced on Owls keeper James Beadle’s mistake to win the game for the Sky Blues after Joel Latibeaudiere’s own goal had cancelled out Simms’ opener.
And Lampard praised the goalscorer post-match, saying: “Today’s a very tough match no doubt, but Ellis’s desire to chase a lost cause that people maybe would’ve given up on and finish it well.
