RETURN: Valerien Ismael’s last job was at Watford
Valerien Ismael says the prospect of putting Blackburn Rovers back where they belong convinced him to take charge at Ewood Park.
The 49-year-old Frenchman was appointed on Tuesday and inherits a side firmly in the hunt for a play-off place following the shock defection of manager John Eustace to Derby last month.
David Lowe had taken charge of the Lancashire club since Eustace's departure on a caretaker basis.
But with Ismael now at the helm, he is targeting a return to the promised land.
