Norwich Cit's Ivo Pinto praised the club's fans after his first goal for the Canaries helped send them to the top of the Championship.
The Portuguese 26-year-old scored late on in Saturday's 3-1 defeat of Burton, meaning they overhauled Huddersfield at the top of the table after the Terriers lost to Reading.
It was by no means a vintage performance by Norwich, bu they did enough and now head into Wednesday's clash against Newcastle having won five games in a row.
Pinto told Radio Norfolk: “We didn't have the best day, but in the end we did enough to take the three points.
“If we're not having a good day, we still have players in the squad that can make a difference.”
“In this league, you don't know what could happen, it's hard. But when you score the third one, it's the end of the game and I think that's very good for us.
“I'm very happy that my first goal happened at this stadium amongst this fantastic crowd.”
Wednesday's showdown at St James's Park is the pick of the midweek fixtures, with both teams back in the Championship after relegation last season and going well.
It will be a tough task for Alex Neil to mastermind another win, but with the Canaries high on confidence, Pinto said: “When you keep winning games, you're just waiting for the next one to come.
“It'll be a big game for us against Newcastle, but if we have a better day and keep doing our jobs, I think we can win the game.”
