Rams comeback
Derby County delivered a thrilling display of resilience, overturning a first-half deficit to beat Blackburn Rovers and revitalise their playoff hopes.
It was more than just a comeback; it was a statement of intent.
After a nervy start, Derby came alive in the second half, with new signing Derry Murkin causing chaos down the left and pushing the team forward. For manager John Eustace, the win held extra significance.
He has now defeated his former club three times in less than a year, and this was the first time Derby had secured three points after conceding first under his management.
The victory moved the Rams nearer to the playoff places, while Blackburn’s relegation worries intensified.

Sky Blues have the edge
Coventry City solidified their lead at the top of the Championship with a dramatic stoppage-time winner over Stoke City.
Haji Wright scored his 16th goal of the season to open the scoring, only for Ben Gibson to equalise for Stoke.
Coventry’s perseverance paid off when Jack Rudoni capitalised on a defensive error in the final moments to secure all three points.
The victory came against a familiar opponent: Stoke are managed by former Coventry boss Mark Robins, who nearly took the Potters to the Premier League in 2023.
With eleven games left, Coventry stays nine points ahead of third-placed Millwall, keeping their promotion hopes very much alive and sending a clear message to the chasing pack.

Baggies relegation worries
West Bromwich Albion endured another setback, losing to Oxford United, which extended their winless streak to 11 league matches and heightened fears of relegation.
Oxford achieved their first win in seven matches, moving closer to avoiding relegation and showing how narrowly balanced survival can be.
The loss also highlighted West Brom’s ongoing away struggles. They have now lost 13 away Championship matches, the highest in the league, and have not secured an away win since early October.
With Leicester City also losing, the stakes were high, and Oxford seized the opportunity, applying increasing pressure on West Brom as the season reaches a crucial stage.

League One title decider
At the summit of League One, Cardiff City and Lincoln City achieved commanding victories, paving the way for an exciting title clash on Saturday.
Cardiff bounced back from a rare loss to Plymouth Argyle, ending their 12-match unbeaten run.
The Bluebirds responded impressively with a commanding victory over Doncaster Rovers, securing their 22nd League One win of the season.
Lincoln extended their unbeaten streak with a commanding victory over Blackpool, featuring goals from Conor McGrandles and Dom Jeffries, the first of the season for both, maintaining a ten-point lead over third-placed Bolton with a game in hand.
Both teams now head into their upcoming clash full of confidence, making it a potential title decider that could influence promotion prospects for the rest of the season.

Third-tier relegation scrap
At the other end of League One, the fight to avoid relegation grew more tense as Rotherham United, Port Vale, and Northampton Town all secured crucial points.
Rotherham ended a four-game losing streak with a crucial win over Plymouth Argyle, easing some pressure on manager Matt Hamshaw.
Port Vale extended their unbeaten run to three games with a draw against Luton Town, while Northampton battled hard to earn a 1–1 draw with Peterborough United, but they remain in the relegation zone.

High stakes
The weekend showed just how fierce the fight for survival has become. With momentum shifting swiftly, every point gained or lost could prove decisive as the season approaches its final weeks.
With the season entering its final stretch, the stakes could not be higher.
Every point now feels precious, and every match carries the potential to reshape promotion battles, playoff aspirations, and relegation scraps.
For fans, the drama is far from over, and it promises to become even more exciting in the coming weeks.
