STRUBER CALLS FOR VAR TO HELP OFFICIALS

BRISTOL CITY manager Gerhard Struber has reiterated his call for VAR to be used in the Championship, after claiming his side were denied a late equaliser at Ashton Gate.
Seconds before the final whistle, City’s Zak Vyner fired in what looked to be a valid equaliser for the Robins, only to be denied by a linesman’s flag against teammate Ross McCrorie, who had headed the ball across the penalty area.
It looked a harsh decision and not for the first time, Struber called for VAR to be introduced in Championship fixtures.
