Match Preview: Southampton v Hull City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Southampton are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Tuesday's late kick-off against .

The Saints, who sit third in the with 32 games played, are priced at 1.6 to seal victory at St. Mary's.

Sitting five places and 16 points behind them in the table, are 5.5 to win with companies*, while the draw is at 4.4.

With 63 goals in 32 games so far this season, Southampton are the league's second-highest scorers with 2.0 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 38 goals at a rate of 1.2 per game.

Hull are also above average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.4. They have conceded 1.3 goals per game.

In Adam Armstrong, the Saints have one of the league's most on-form strikers so far this season. He has notched 16 goals in 32 appearances, to sit third in the scoring charts.

City's top scorers, with eight goals each, are Aaron Anthony Connolly and Jaden Philogene.

The hosts are in fantastic form in the Championship, with five wins and one loss from their last six games.

With four wins and two losses over that period, the Tigers' form is worse – they have taken 12 points from 18, compared to Southampton's 15.
