Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna has hinted he will seek to sign cover for injured striker George Hirst when the transfer window opens.
Hirst, 24, suffered a hamstring injury in the first-half of the Tractor Boys’ Boxing Day draw with Leicester and is expected to be out for several weeks.
“It’s still being assessed but it’s a significant injury,” said McKenna. “He has had some scans and he’ll be seeing a specialist to get further clarification on what timescales we’re looking at.
