Unlucky Eustace deserved better outcome

John Eustace has done a very good job at Birmingham, so it’s disappointing to see him replaced by Wayne Rooney.
Have the new owners run a proper process? Have they thought ‘This is the manager who can get us promoted to the Premier League?’. Or have they just gone ‘Wow, we can get Wayne Rooney, let’s get Wayne Rooney’.
It’s hard to knock Wayne’s playing career. You just can’t. But it’s more than fair to pick at his coaching career.
It’s a career that’s been given a boost because of who he was as a player, which isn’t fair in my opinion.
