SWANSEA City boss Russell Martin has backed impressive young centre-back Nathan Wood to go all the way to the top. The 20-year-old made his England Under-21 debut in a 2-1 friendly defeat against Croatia at Fulham on Tuesday, building on his breakthrough season at Swansea. Wood joined the Swans from Middlesbrough for around £400,000 last summer. He’s the son of ex-Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough defender Dean Gordon and came through the Boro ranks.
