ROVERS’ O’BRIEN APPEAL ENDS IN FAILURE

BLACKBURN have been forced to admit defeat in their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien.
The 24-year-old had agreed to join the Championship club on a loan deal until the end of the season after being omitted from Nottingham Forest’s Premier League squad.
However, the EFL refused to sanction the deal because key paperwork was submitted after the extended 11.15pm deadline on the final day of the January transfer window.
