Gareth Ainsworth’s hopes of kicking off his QPR reign with a victory were shattered as Blackburn eased to a 3-1 win at Loftus Road.
And his replacement at Wycombe, Matt Bloomfield, also suffered debut pain as the Chairboys crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury in League One. Sam Gallagher bagged a double to inspire fourth-placed Blackburn’s Championship triumph in west London.
