NEIL Critchley backed himself to revive struggling QPR – despite seeing their winless run extended to ten games away at Middlesbrough.
A second-half brace from the Championship’s top scorer Chuba Akpom piled more pressure on underfire Critchley.
Akpom moved to 19 for the season with his second-half double, and although Ilias Chair was on target late on for Rangers, Boro wrapped up the points as Riley McGree hammered home from close range in stoppage time.
