Ekdal is in good Kompany at the Clarets

Swedish defender Hjalmar Ekdal can’t wait to get started with runaway Championship leaders Burnley.
The 24-year-old centre-back has joined from Djurgarden IF on a fourand-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee and will give Clarets boss Vincent Kompany greater options at the back in the closing months of the campaign.
The Stockholm-born centre-back began his career with Brommapojkarna FC as a youngster before moving to the USA aged 18 to study and play college soccer for UNC Wilmington Seahawks.
