‘Special’ Bartley stays at Baggies

Influential defender Kyle Bartley has extended his stay at West Brom until the summer of 2024 after the activation of an appearance-related clause in his contract.
The 31-year-old centre-half has played a pivotal role for the Baggies since the appointment of Carlos Corberan as head coach in October – scoring twice as Albion earned three successive clean sheets in victories over Blackpool, QPR and Stoke.
Bartley, who was shortlisted for the November Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award, arrived at The Hawthorns from Swansea in July 2018 and has made 153 appearance...
