Former Arsenal defender Kolo Toure has emerged as the hot favourite to become the manager of Wigan Athletic.
The Latics have been looking for a new boss since Leam Richardson was sacked ten days ago following a poor run that saw them slide into the relegation zone.
Richardson led Wigan to the League One title last term and had signed a new three-year deal last month, but it didn’t save him from the axe.
Toure, 41, has completed his pro-licence and has worked under Brendan Rodgers at both Celtic and Leicester, where he is currently first-team coach.
