Vincent Kompany refused to be too downbeat after seeing his Burnley side succumb to defeat for the first time.
New Clarets boss Kompany had called on his players to chip in with goals before the campaign started, having seen many of his recognised front players leave in the summer.
“In the first half they were better than us, but in the second we could feel the tide was turning,” said Kompany.
“To win games you have got to create chances. I think we have goals in the team, but it will happen from players understanding each other better.”
