RYAN Lowe allowed Izzy Brown and Josh Murphy to leave Preston before the end of the season as they “didn’t meet” his “high standards”.
Midfielder Brown, 25, joined North End in June, but ruptured his Achilles in training two days later, while Murphy, 27, was on loan from Cardiff.
They have both left the club, and manager Lowe, 43, said: “The two of them had an opportunity to showcase what they could do for us, I have high standards and unfortunately they didn’t meet those standards.
