U’s have shown they deserve EFL status

THEY might not have picked up any honours at the EFL Awards last Sunday, or had any players in the League Two Team of the Season, but Sutton United have enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign in the Football League.
After 123 years in the Non-League ranks, the U’s were greeted with a fair degree of scepticism when they rocked up in the EFL this term. Last season’s surprise National League champions were widely tipped to struggle in with the ‘big boys’.
