ROONEY: MY LADS WANT TO STAY PUT

MANAGER Wayne Rooney believes it is ‘rare and unique’ that his entire squad have told him they want to stay following relegation to League One.
The Rams – who have battled a 21-point deduction this term for going into administration and breaching financial rules – were relegated following a 1-0 defeat at QPR on Monday.
Derby have only five players contracted for next season and are unable to offer new deals because of restrictions while they are in administration.
American Chris Kirchner is the ‘preferred bidder’ to take over the club.
