Burnley have signed goalkeeper Paul Robinson on a contract until the end of the season.
Robinson has been without a club since leaving Blackburn Rovers in the summer and has not played a competitive fixture since mid September 2014.
The 36-year-old told Burnley’s official club website, “I’ve been fit and training for the last couple of months, so it’s just nice to join a fantastic football club.
“The manager goes about his business here very well and having spent some time with him this afternoon I can’t speak highly enough, so I’m looking forward to working with him.
“I have played a lot of Premier League and Championship games and hopefully that experience can help people in and around the club.
“I’m just looking forward to getting training and using that experience. There are three very good goalkeepers here now and it would be nice to get some game time under my belt and be ready if called upon.”
Robinson has accumulated 41 caps for England and has had spells with Leeds, Tottenham and most recently Blackburn.
Burnley are currently sitting in 3rd place in the Championship and face a trip to Arsenal in the FA Cup on Saturday.
