PRESTON boss Frankie McAvoy paid tribute to the late Trevor Hemmings after he attended a memorial service for the club’s former owner on Thursday.Hemmings died last month at the age of 86 having held a controlling stake in the Lancashire side for more than a decade.The London-born businessman was also a prominent horse racing figure, who owned three Grand National winners, and the service during the week left boss McAvoy with even more admiration for the late club owner.He said: “It was absolutely magnificent and I thought it was a fantastic, fitting tri...
