PEARSON THE PULL FOR JAMES

MATTY James was tempted to move to Bristol City from Leicester because of the ambition of the club and manager Nigel Pearson.

The 30-year-old midfielder made the switch to Ashton Gate after loan spells at Barnsley and Coventry.
Asked about why he made the move, James said: “The fact I knew a couple of the players and the gaffer helps.”
James added: “I think the fact that I knew the gaffer, Nigel. We had a conversation and I know what he wants, I know what he expects from his players, but then also I like the ambition from the club.”
