O’NEILL HAILS ACE SURRIDGE

MICHAEL O’Neill believes striker Sam Surridge has “all his best years ahead of him” after joining Stoke from Bournemouth.
The 23-year-old academy graduate departs the Cherries having made 42 senior appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
O’Neill said: “In terms of a permanent signing, Sam has been our No.1 striking option that we identified.
“We’ve had to be very patient, but it’s great to get it done. He’s a young player with all his best years ahead of him and he will be a fantastic addition to our squad.”
