STEVENAGE chairman Phil Wallace admits he was “shocked” by Joe Dunne’s departure, but understands why the assistant manager left the club just a week into the job.
The former Colchester and Cambridge boss, 47, joined Boro at the start of December as Alex Revell’s No.2, but a family illness forced him to leave the club on Tuesday.
