BEN STEPS UP TO AID MARINERS

FORMER Grimsby Town defender Ben Davies is to assist the club’s firstteam coaching staff on a temporary basis.
The Mariners announced ten days ago that head coach Michael Jolley had left the club by mutual consent following a seven-game winless run, although it was later revealed that a foulmouthed tirade towards local journalists also played a part.
Anthony Limbrick is in temporary charge, with Dave Moore as his assistant and Davies, who made more than 60 appearances for Grimsby and is a coach with the club’s academy, has stepped up to help.
