DERBY boss Phillip Cocu thinks midfielder Tom Lawrence is using his drink-driving conviction as extra motivation.
Lawrence, 25, and forward Mason Bennett, 23, avoided jail after crashing their cars while over the limit following a team-building dinner.
“It is extra motivation because the impact was big and he always shows great character in games, he works always hard,” said Cocu. “For him I am sure this is extra motivation to give something back to the club.”
