HOME-GROWN midfielder Ryan Yates has been praised by Nottingham Forest manager Martin O’Neill for the way he has performed after being thrust into the Reds’ first-team in recent weeks.
The Lincoln-born 21-year-old, who has enjoyed loan spells at Barrow, Shrewsbury, Notts County and Scunthorpe over the past two seasons, hadn’t started a league game for Forest until early last month when he was handed a surprise berth against Brentford, which O’Neill’s side won 2-1.
