GRANT Ward is “ahead of schedule” in his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.
The Ipswich midfielder, 24, required surgery after rupturing ligaments against QPR in December.
He faces nine months to a year on the sidelines, but said: “The operation went well. The surgeon is happy with the way it went and I’m ahead of schedule at the moment.
