JONNY Maxted believes goalkeeping coach Tony Warner has helped to make him a better player.
The Accrington Stanley stopper’s playing time was limited while Middlesbrough loanee Connor Ripley, now Preston, was in situ.
Maxted, 25, said: “When Tony first came in as goalkeeping coach he spotted little bits in my game that needed improving.
“I needed to be more commanding and work harder towards being that good, commanding keeper that comes for crosses, talks well, kicks well and things like that.
