SMYTH’S READY TO MAKE MARK AT HOOPS

QPR striker Paul Smyth is targeting a regular first-team place after signing a one-year contract extension at the London club.
Ahead of this weekend, the 21-year-old had played just four times for Steve McClaren’s side this season, with two of those outings coming in the Carabao Cup.
Smyth joined QPR from Northern Irish Premier League club Linfield in August 2017 and broke into the team at Loftus Road last season, making 15 appearances for the R’s. He now wants to claim a regular starting role, saying: “I am absolutely delighted t...
